Transportation

The Business Office is the liaison between schools, parents and the bus company contracted to provide bus service for eligible Naugatuck students to their assigned schools. Our primary objective is to provide safe, efficient and economical bus transportation for our students. You can help us meet this objective by helping your child understand all bus rules and regulations. Please have your child at the stop at least 5 minutes before the estimated arrival time.

Naugatuck Public Schools follows the guidelines of the Connecticut State Department of Education, and per our Board of Education policy the following guidelines regarding walking distances will be considered.  Distance measurements will be based on the most direct route from the student’s home beginning at a point at the curb or edge of a public road or highway nearest the home to the edge of the school property or bus pickup areas.

Grade Limit
K 1 mile
1-3 1 mile

Lost items on school buses can be directed to our school bus contractor, STA, at (203) 729-4500.

Any other student transportation issues can be directed to the Board of Education’s Business Office, 203-720-5268.
