"Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain!" -- Wizard of Oz
I am an Information Technology professional with a graduate degree in computer science. My interest and experience have been focused in the K-12 sector, where I have been employed for the majority of my career. In recent years, I have had the opportunity to implement new procedures and infrastructure that enhance IT processes for school districts, ensuring that student and staff needs are solved in a more timely manner. I have honed my skills in the implementation of these new infrastructures. My responsibilities have always included providing staff and students with friendly and professional technical support.
Through my employment history and degree work, I developed a thorough understanding of a wide range of hardware and software technologies. I have extensive experience working with server and network infrastructure. I have also supported and managed a full range of end user devices, including desktop and laptop Windows/Linux PCs, Apple/Android devices and Chromebooks, leveraging the infrastructure to provide efficient management tools, including Active Directory domain implementation, MDM solutions and imaging/software deployment solutions. In addition to my technical skills, I understand the complexities of integrating technology within the educational environment. I understand that technology must be as transparent as possible – it should be a powerful tool, but it should also be accessible.
